Pulled Pork Sandwich was very flavorful. Service was excellent. They were busy but still managed to check with us several times to see if everything was alright. Waitstaff was extremely friendly.
On a whim, I ordered Callear’s. I have a goal in our new area to go to locally owned restaurants first. We ordered ribs and cornbread as well as steamed veggies (ok, that was the most boring part of our visit, but it’s on us ), and it was ready two minutes later. I had to hustle to the restaurant because I didn’t expect it to be ready that fast! I was greeted, not just with my food which was kept hot, but warm smiles and kind attitudes. The camaraderie behind the register was noticeable. Though I took my food home, I noticed as I had come in the back door based on where I had parked, that the ambiance was warm and inviting. Nothing fancy, but that’s not necessary in a down-home BBQ restaurant. Our ribs were fantastic, the cornbread moist but not too much so, and even the steamed vegetables were awesome Highly recommend!
Great food at reasonable prices. I had the pulled pork and my dad had the burnt end brisket. Both were delicious. They also have great Mac and cheese and tasty corn bread and sweet potato biscuits. Also, nice homemade coleslaw. Our waitress was also very attentive.
I have been here 4 times in a week. My job takes me to different states for work. Always trying local food this establishment is beyond Great. The taste of their own BBQ sauce is at the top. I lived in Tennessee for 9 years and have been to BBQ festivals and cook off’s there and Texas. Callears would be right next to others in the top 3. Potato Salad is on point for texture and taste. Brisket was cooked just right. I have had the loaded nachos that has just the right amount of Jalapenos, pulled pork and the chips they make themselves. The staff are very polite, make sure you are taken care of and will bring a small sample of food for you to try. The Sweet Potato Roll was a item I have never had before. Tried theirs and always look forward to it. A great surprise here in Pennsylvania that I will always recommend.

They were completely slammed when we got there, having already run out of brisket and chicken. Easily settled on country ribs and pulled pork. The southern sweet barbecue sauce is perfect. Portions were much too large for one person which is never a bad thing. Had the burnt ends as an appetizer. Easily could have had two helpings of that. The Cajun sausage really stood out. Looking forward to heading back
Amazing experience! Food came out fast and hot. The server was absolutely awesome and what made things even better was the manager/cook took the time to come to every table to ensure everyone's food was cook to there liking and that they were satisfied. Such a personal touch is what will keep us coming back besides the amazing food!
We were craving for a good barbecue and not familiar with the town. We ended up here and honestly one of the best barbecue food we've had in PA. The meat is tender and juicy and great flavour. I recommend this place! ...
